Cloud for MSPs – What to expect

Introducing new clients to the cloud can be tricky. A lot of the time businesses are apprehensive about something so new, so if you’re looking to move customers away from a physical infrastructure, what can you expect?

Far easier management
It’s no secret that we’re living in a world where managing physical infrastructure has presented plenty of challenges. Network infrastructures were tested to the absolute maximum during the pandemic. Something as simple as “visiting the office” became more challenging and as a result we facilitated many businesses migrating to the cloud. MSPs utilised cloud hosting as a way of negating the need to visit client premises. This provided companies with a fantastic long term solution to other issues they could face, or created a fast forward to something they’d had planned on the horizon. These MSPs are now able to easily make changes and manage their clients infrastructure without the need to visit a physical location.

Not just clients growth, MSP growth
We often talk about providing a platform for clients to grow, but utilising the cloud services available from hosting providers like Teledata means that MSPs have a genuine tool for growth. By providing IaaS to clients with a reliable hosting provider, MSPs can build upon a platform that they can either white label, or provide as an ongoing service. With award winning resilience and connectivity, Teledata is able to provide MSPs with a product that can become the core of their offering. This also feeds into MSP growth as it’s an upsell that’s available to those who are able to go into companies and offer genuine transformation. Giving customers the choice to move with the times, come away from physical hardware dependence and into an environment that almost future proofs their business is something most MSPs like to provide.

Happier technical teams
We’ve heard about the challenges that MSPs face with engineers battling many different physical setups across their customer base, but with the cloud technical staff can simply utilise an environment they’re already used to. The control of this being within the MSP’s scope is great for your teams. They are able to access the cloud remotely and know exactly how the connectivity works and how the client is set up. One of the biggest challenges we hear from MSPs is the wide array of infrastructures they’re forced to work with. Cloud makes that far simpler.
