A vCPU is equivalent to one physical CPU core. All our cloud servers use a ratio of one vCPU to 2GB memory for optimal performance.
If you aren’t sure how many vCPUs you need, we recommend you start small - after all, you can always scale up later.
All our storage uses high performance vSAN for high-speed access to your data and no single point of failure.
Your storage requirements will depend on the size of the assets you plan to host (such as large images or video), as well as the footprint of any software you install (including OS). You can always scale up later.
Adding remote storage to your hosting solution will allow you to keep a secure offsite backup of any mission-critical data. By default, we allocate half the size of your primary storage.
A full VM backup will allow you to switch over to a backup copy of your entire cloud server if your primary VM is ever out of action, saving time on restoring data from remote storage.
Our CentOS/cPanel cloud servers are offered as a managed solution, giving you a sound continuous security update path.
Planning on using database-driven applications or ecommerce platforms? Let us know which software you'd like to run on your server, and we can give you our input on the suitability of the specification you've configured.
For maximum protection against downtime and performance loss, we can combine your hosting solution with DRaaS or additional load-balanced servers in an IaaS environment. Get in touch for a quote and to find out more about our custom configuration options.
