BS5979 security

Unrivalled data centre security, with an NSI Gold Approved BS5979 security centre on-site.

So secure we're unique in the UK

Our Manchester data centre offers some of the most sophisticated security of any data centre in Europe. We've invested over £1 Million in our Security and Operations Control Centre (SOC), and our on-site police-linked alarm receiving centre (ARC) is NSI Gold Approved and BS5979 certified. This makes us unique in the UK, and provides our clients with world class security services.

NSI Gold level approval is a highly respected and trusted hallmark in the security and fire sectors demonstrating technical expertise, robust processes and quality of service.

On-site Alarm Receiving Centre

Our ARC is manned 24/7 by SIA accredited operatives working to protect your hosted equipment at all times. We’re the only data centre in the UK and Europe that provides this level of approved protection.

PASF (Police-Assured Secure Facilities) certified

Teledata’s data centres are PASF (Police-Assured Secure Facilities) certified. This means that our facilities have been physically assessed by the National Policing Information Risk Management Team (NPIRMT) of the UK Home Office and successfully certified to meet PASF security standards.

Protecting your investment in us

BS5979 is the highest UK standard for alarm receiving centres and gives recommendations for the planning, construction and facilities of manned and unmanned remote security centres, and for the operation of ARCs which receive signals from security systems such as physical intruders, fire, flood and CCTV. Where an incident warrants escalation, alerts can be routed through to police and receive a Level 1 response, bypassing normal 999 procedures.

Our Security and Operations Control Centre also has its own data centre, power and air supplies to cover all eventualities and ensure complete infrastructure independence from any other area of the building or customer data centre.

It's always important for clients to know they're getting the best possible service. That's why standards, such as those issued by the British Standards Institute (BSI), exist.
