Teledata has five data centres on-site. But it wasn't always that way. An important part of who we are, is our very first data centre: TD1.
In 2005 we began providing UK businesses with market leading hosting solutions. Then in 2007 we renovated Delta House and built our first on-site data centre, TD1, providing firms with a location for their servers, right in the heart of Manchester Airport’s Enterprise Zone.
By building TD1 we started on the journey to where we are today, providing market leading colocation and hosting solutions to businesses across the UK. TD1 holds ISO 27001 accreditations and 2(N+N) resilience and UPS failover redundancies, it is one of the most secure facilities in the UK today.
As time goes on we continually look to invest in our facility — TD1 is home to the infrastructure of some of the UK’s largest businesses, taking advantage of 100% uptime and market leading technology. With a recent investment of over £1.5million into energy efficiencies, we’re also working towards providing a better, cleaner offering.
In 2009 TD1 became protected by NSI Gold Approved BS5979 security after we built our on-site security ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre). This gives our security team direct links to police control rooms for ultimate, priority response. This step marked an important part of who we are today.
Access to TD1 includes biometric, PIN and ID badge checks, meaning that the servers housed in TD1 sit behind highly efficient security shields and provide businesses with the level of security that meets today’s increasing legislative requirements when it comes to data security.
