The expansion has 20 new server racks and is now available for our cloud hosting and colocation customer base. This covers 1200ft2 of space and delivers an additional 120kw of UPS supported customer power to the data centre.
Teledata has expanded further by renovating another area in our 70,000ft2 building due to our capacity being reached in our other 4 data centres. The new space provides all of our security, redundancy and energy efficiency benefits and gives clients access to colocation space, or the provision of market leading cloud hosting.
As with our other data centres, we provide our clients with the flexibility to choose between any hosting services they require, whether taking advantage of our data centre for provision of power and uptime for existing hardware or to move their services into the cloud. Covering 1200ft2 of space, TD5 will release an additional 120kw of power to our data centre.
Meeting the ongoing requirements of all the businesses we work with, this marked stage two of the £2million expansion project set out by Teledata in 2019. Given that there is now a critical point for data centre capacity in Manchester, our expansion means that the colocation requirement in Manchester hasn't quite reached capacity yet!
