We’re excited to announce that we are expanding our data centre footprint and will be opening another Manchester site in 2022.
We’ve seen significant growth over the past couple of years, and with data centre space in the city running scarce, we hope that our new facility will go some way towards meeting the demands of colocation and cloud hosting customers looking for a Manchester presence.
The new site will be built to Tier 3 standards and offer up to 25,000 sq ft of data centre space along with up to 2(N+N) UPS redundancy, 100% 24/7 uptime, ISO27001 certification and NSI Gold Approved BS5979 security.
The first data halls should be coming online in Q3/Q4 2022.
Teledata already boasts four data halls at its site in Wythenshawe, and the new facility should see this number increase to seven halls, with close to 40,000 sq ft of space.
Delivering colocation, cloud solutions, dedicated server hosting and workplace recovery services, our data centres make the ideal home for a business's mission-critical data and online applications.
What’s more, we’re striving to reduce our carbon footprint in line with Manchester's carbon neutrality goals and have made big investments into energy efficiency projects over the last 2-3 years. Our energy enhancing 2MW battery storage system solution with voltage optimisation enables us to store electricity from the national grid at times of low demand and discharge it during the most beneficial periods, acting as a reserve during peak tariff times. And we’ve recently announced that we will be deploying a hydrogen-ready fuel cell to provide clean energy to fuel our facility. You can read more about this project here.
