TeleData’s Fibre Ring Ready to Serve a Thriving Digital Manchester
We’re pleased to announce that our fibre based ring around multiple major Manchester data centres is now complete and fully in-service, enabling Manchester data centre users to connect seamlessly and resiliently between our own colocation facilities and other primary data centres in the Manchester area.
The ring takes in other well connected hotspots such as Telecity Reynolds & Williams House and enables current and future TeleData hosted customers to connect with speeds of up to 10Gbps on Ethernet or Optical circuits between on-net Manchester locations.
Matthew Edgley, Sales Director at TeleData comments;
“Manchester is developing into one of the best connected and digitally focussed cities in Europe, naturally attracting customers that need to shift huge amounts of data between multiple locations. We’ve already seen major investment into the City – through the development and success of MediacityUK and the in-progress £800m Manchester Airport City project – ensuring the trend is set to continue on an impressive, sustained upwards curve. This will naturally bring more opportunity and increased demand for data centres who are able to serve these data hungry businesses.
We’re already one of the best connected data centres in the North West of England with the presence of multiple Tier1 network providers such as SSE, Level3, Vodafone, C&W, Allegro, BT, Hibernia Atlantic and Virgin Media already on-site. Now, our own fibre based ring around the city only enhances our capabilities.“
